KNG Group LLC has multiple openings for the position of Software Engineer (Ref# SE727MG) to work in Norfolk, MA and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Job Duties: Design, develop, implement, test, maintain, and support computer applications software or specialized utility programs including client/server and web-based applications, and major enhancements of existing systems, using Java/J2EE technologies. Analyze client needs and design, code, test, and develop software to meet those needs and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle. Writing testable, scalable, efficient, and elegant code based on the requirements. Participate in code reviews and peer to peer coding sessions. Test and deploy programs and applications along with troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software. Design microservices for an application or system and plan how they will work and communicate together. Create a variety of models and diagrams (such as flowcharts) that show the team how to work on the software code needed for that application. Ensure that the program continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing. Document every aspect of an application or system as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. Develop quality assurance procedures and automate them. Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Use of Java, J2EE, JSP, JDBC, Spring, Hibernate, RESTful Web Services, Servlets, Bootstrap, Angular, Kafka, Eclipse, IntelliJ, XML, JSON, TestNG, JUnit, Postman, Maven, Jenkins, GitHub, JIRA, PL/SQL, MySQL, Oracle, Linux, and Windows. Travel and/or relocation required.
Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or 1 year in a related occupation including Software Developer, Programmer Analyst, or related experience. Position requires 1 year of experience with Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, RESTful Web Services, Jenkins, and MySQL. 40hrs/week.
